The General body meeting of Nammavar Trade Union Council was held at MNM Headquarters.
The President of Makkal Needhi Maiam, Dr. Kamal Haasan, appointed Madurai R. Sokkar as State Co ordinator.
Our president highlighted the action plans to be carried out by our trade union council and emphasized that ".. our trade unions should act uniquely".
Rajalakshmi Ammaiyar Maiam Women's Union and Maiam Tirupur Banian Union joined the Nammavar Union Council!.
MNM Vice President Mr.R. Thangavelu delivered the welcome address. General Secretary of the council Mr. V. Ravichandran proposed the vote of thanks.
The General Secretary of MNM, Mr. A. Arunachalam, State Secretary Mr. Senthil Arumugam, Council State Treasurer Mrs. M. Banumathi, Council Vice Presidents Mr. K. Madasamy, Mr. N.K. Rajan, Mr. P. Gunasekaran, Mr. A. Melgio Sudhan, Mr. S. Suresh, Mr. M. Anand, Mr. Go. Ravichandran, Smt. E. Sangeetha, the party's state administrators, district administrators and council administrators were also present in large numbers.
