Makkal Needhi Maiam welcomes the TN government's move to shut down 500 TASMAC outlets.
The ill effects of alcohol has been known to completely collapse families & destroy the peaceful social structure too! With the dangers of liquor looming large, the TN government's move to shut down 500 outlets is a step towards tapering the problem at hand.
In addition to that, the Government must undertake a field survey of liquor outlets near schools, hospitals, temples and places of public gatherings, and those outlets must be shut down too!
The Government must also establish rehabilitation centers at every Taluk to ensure that, those willing to give up alcoholism, get proper help to cope with their withdrawal and health symptoms.
Our goal must be to create a society in which there would be zero addiction. We must ensure an addition free society!
