A statewide protest was held on behalf of the Makkal Needhi Maiam, to condemn the central government for failing to restore peace in the state of Manipur.
Headed by General Secretary Mr. A Arunachalam in Capital Chennai, Vice President of MNM Mr. A G Mourya in Kanchipuram, Vice President Mr. R. Thangavelu in Coimbatore and Youth State Secretary Mr. Snegan in Madurai.and In Salem under the leadership of State Secretary Mr. Siva Elango, in Nagapattinam under the leadership of Engineer Team State Secretary Mr. Vaitheeswaran and in Tirunelveli under the leadership of Nellie Zone Secretary Dr. D. Premnath. and in Thittakudi by Mr. Sripathi.
