36 years ago, in my Maiam magazine, I had equated Bharathiyar's poems to my mother. I was 33 years old then. The fire that he ignited in me, and the feeling still remains intact inside me.
Bharathi had shown us many paths; the primary one being " Listen my fellow humans! There's no elite and underprivileged. Noone is bound by slavery. Let's all walk around like kings.
I pay tribute to the great poet who sang for equality.
