Wishing one of the best Thamizh literature stalwarts, Neelam Padmanaban, a very happy 85th birthday!
His works like Thalaimuraigal, Pallikondapuram and Uravugal are here to speak realistic expressions.
He was the one who could successfully introduce regional vernacular into literature, expressing nativity and heritage of a language.
I'm his reader. I have visited him at his residence to interview him. I have had the honour of having my poem on London bomb blast , translated into Malayalam by Neelam Padmanabhan.
A journey spanning 65 years of writing, has given us rare gems. I wish him once again and urge people to read his works.
